- But Petro et al are still onboard, making decisions and doing business as
- usual, they are just less Escom's backing for financial support.
-
- They are obviously wrong when he said they wouldn't sell more (A4000ts)
- if they lowered the price.. they WOULD sell more (in the short term) BUT
- what I think he means is that this would send out the image the computer is
- being dumped, turning people off from buying it in the long run as they will
- wonder if it will continue to be supported! Also, the profit they are making
- on it will go towards marketing and advertising for the Amiga in general (but
- you bet that will only be in Europe). I think the Amiga "Walker" is a
- much better bet then the A4000t anyways.. well.. once the expansions are
- there for it.
-
- Question about the "Walker".. I assume the Video Toaster will be able to
- go in it otherwise, why were they talking to NewTek so much?

-
- Yes.. Ie: it would be nice to have the same (or similar) ports in the
- "ED" AND the "Walker" .. what I/O ports/chip(s) is the ED using?

- I agree.. along with NewTek.

-
- Please don't say Microsoft! :) I would assume a lot of Cable companies
- would have stakes in the company.

-
- This is good to hear they will get all assets of the Amiga and the company.
-

-
- Good thing Escom is not hanging onto any Amiga patents.

-
- This is starting to sound much better then Escom's buyout but does this
- company have as much sales per year and/or financial backing to do R&D,
- production of set-top boxes AND computers, run a daughter company,
- finance external contracts, do marketing and advertising etc?

-
- That would be cool. "The Amiga channel" :)
